Prizes added to June 15th Luck at Dixie Jean's.Dixie will be awarding $25.00 gift certificates to the first place winners and $15.00 gift certificated to the second place finishers. These prizes are in addition to the usual payout of entry fees.

$100.00 VALUE ADDED LUCK at SMOKIN JACK'S on MAY 25th. Smokin Jack's will add 100.00 to the collected entry fees. We've been averaging about 18 players so far this summer, so the payout from this luck should be very good.

SPRING 2010 REDBEARD CUP PLAYOFFS start Thursday, April 22nd. The format will be as follows: The two teams with the highest point totals at the end of the regular season will have byes through the first two rounds of playoffs. The remaining eight teams will be seeded according to their point totals for the first round of playoffs(#3 seed will play #10 seed, #4 seed will play #9 seed, etc.)
The winners of the first round matches will be seeded similarly for the second round of matches. The higher seeded team will be the home team in all matches(except where such seeding will cause two matches at the same venue. In that case, the the higher seeded team from that venue will be home and the other team from that venue will be away).
The #1 and #2 seeds will be bracketed against the remaining two teams from the first two rounds for the semifinals. To see the bracket, click here
Remember that playoff matches need to be played to 13 points only and that no weekly fees are due during the playoffs. Also remember that 180s and RONs are counted during the playoffs.

FALL 2009 PLAYOFFS START THURSDAY DEC 3RD The format for the playoffs will be the same as previous seasons. The only change this season will be due to the odd number of teams. The top 5 teams by point totals will have byes for the first round. The remaining 6 teams will have matches on thursday the 3rd. Remember that playoff matches only need to be played to 13 and that the higher seeded team will be the home team.
The Fall 2009 Finals and banquet will be held on December 12th at Dixie Jean's. Finals start time is 12:00 pm
NOVEMBER 2009
MVP points for week 9 were inadvertently left off of the posted standings. The corrected numbers will be posted. Also note that the point totals for the teams in the first division will be altered. Each remaining team in the first division will be awarded 13 points for the originally scheduled match verses the bullshooters. This will prevent the first division teams from having two byes.

Spring 2009 Redbeard Cup Playoffs will start Thursday April 23rd. The format for the playoffs is as follows:
The four teams with the highest point totals from the regular season will have a first round bye.
The two teams with the lowest point totals will compete in a play-in match on Thursday, April 23rd.
The remaining eight teams will be seeded by point totals for second round matches on Tuesday, April 28th
with the #1 seeded team playing the #8 team, #2 playing the #7 team, and so on.
The remaining teams from the first round and the four teams from the first round bye will be seeded by points
for the third round on Thursday, April 30.
The remaining four teams will play in the fourth round on Tuesday, May 5th.

JANUARY 2009
Spring 2009 season starts Tuesday January 20th. A (very) preliminary schedule is available on the MCDL page. Please note that there are going to be byes each week. There are going to be a couple weeks when all teams in both division I and II have byes to allow the 5 teams in division III to complete their schedules. Also note that, due to the odd number of teams, you will only play each team in the league ONCE, instead of playing the teams in your division twice.

Special Luck of the Draw at Smokin Jack's is open to any one who has thrown in a summer luck tournament held by the MCDL. Please keep in mind that this special luck will most likely run for several hours. The format of play will be the same as all other summer lucks; double elimination with 501-C-Choice in the winner's bracket and one game of Cricket in the loser's bracket. Jack's $200.00 bonus will be the first place prize. The entry fees will be divided among the other finishers, with amounts to be determined by the number of players. Hope to see you there!

Spring 2006 Redbeard Cup Playoffs will start Thursday April 20th. The format for the playoffs is as follows:
The four teams with the highest point totals from the regular season will have a first round bye. The remaining eight teams will be seeded by point totals for Thursday's first round matches, with the #1 seeded team playing the #8 team, #2 playing the #7 team, and so on.
The remaining teams from the first round and the four teams from the first round bye will be seeded by points for the second round on Tuesday April 25th
The remaining four teams will play in the third round on April 27th and the Finals will be held Saturday at Smokin Jack's.

A Reminder: all results are due in by the Thursday following a match. Please note that there has been a slight change in the schedule. This change affects only the home-away arrangement of matches between the VFW and Smokin Jack's. These teams should print out new copies of the schedule and discard any existing copies.

Congratulations to the Frosted Mug Silver Bullets; Spring 2005 Redbeard Cup Champions!
Spring 2005 Redbeard Cup Playoffs will start Thursday, April 14th. As decided at the captain's meeting in January, the playoff has reverted to a seeded structure as opposed to the luck of the draw structure.

The division leaders will have a bye for the first round, and the remaining four teams in each division will play off in the first round, with the number 2 team playing the number 5 team, and the number 3 team playing the number 4 team. Seeding is based upon the team standings after Tuesday's final league match. It is imperative that team captains tabulate their team points immediately after Tuesday's match so that the correct seeding is used for the first round match on Thursday the 14th

The second round, on Tuesday, the 19th, will have the division leaders play the lower seeded team of the winners of the first round match. The higher seeded team of winning teams from the first round will have a bye.

The third round, Thursday, the 21st, will have the winner of the second round play the bye team from the second round in the division final.

The Redbeard Cup Final will be Saturday, April 23rd, at the VFW 1589 in Masontown, WV at 12:30 PM.

2005 West Virginia State Championships will be held June 10th and 11th at The Ordinary in Clarksburg. Friday, June 17th will be Luck of the Draw at 7:00 pm; Saturday the 18th will be the state championships. Details, including start times and entry fees, will be posted here as soon as they are available.

Fall 2004 MCDL schedule is now posted. There will be 9 teams in the league, in 3 divisions of 3 teams each. Each team will play the teams in their division 2 times, and the teams from the other divisions once. There are going to be byes each week and some teams will have two byes and others only one. Please check the schedule carefully. Sorry about the bye situation, but the addition of the new team has made it necessary. We welcome our 9th team, playing out of the WV Brewpub, into league.

Summer 2004 Luck of the Draw starts Tuesday, May 4th at the Frosted Mug. Entry fee will be $5.00 and all money will be paid out each night. Please be there by 7:00pm so that we can get started by 7:30pm. We had several good turnouts last summer; hopefully we'll have even better ones this summer.
