Proper lighting is essential! Ideal lighting is two light sources above the backboard, with the light sources spaced a little wider apart than the backboard is wide.
The minimum bulb wattage should be 60W, although most players prefer 75w or even 100W bulbs.
Please be careful not to exceed the wattage capacity of your bulb socket or fixture. (many "clamp on " type lights are only rated to 60W)
